Education

I received my Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universita' degli Studi di Firenze, in 2017. The title of the thesis is Improvement of aerodynamic performances of Savonius wind turbines. I received my Master Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, in 2020. The title of the thesis is Effect of temperature on nasal fluid dynamics.

Research

During COMETE project, I will acquire advanced knowledge regarding the use of Phase Field Method in computational fluid-dynamics. I will produce simulated databases and working source code, valuable both as original research and in synergy with the results obtained by the other students in the project. My focus will be on the development of a functional code, which may be easily used by researchers with different backgrounds, according to the cross-fertilisation aim of the project: starting with the code already available in my research group, I will add new features maintaining its very good performance, obtained thanks to code parallelisation with MPI. I will put an accent on communication, both creating a professional network in academia, and establishing a bidirectional dialogue with industry.
